Positive Reinforcement Nursing (PRN) is a North Carolina professional corporation that provides doctor’s with after-hours assistance with patient calls. PRN was created by Wendy Gillispie, MSN and Shelley Rogers, RN. These two entrepreneurs worked in the Labor and Delivery ward at Forsyth Memorial Hospital for five years. Having dual roles as full time nurses and caring for their children, Ms. Gillispie and Ms. Rogers found it increasingly difficult to manage their hectic lives. So, with the encouragement of doctors, PRN was born with the mission to provide after-hour calls for doctors. Today PRN works with over 45 practices and more than 300 providers.
